University Band Update: 10/20 - 10/25
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE THIS WEEK
There will be a full band rehearsal scheduled on Wednesday in place
of the woodwind/percussion sectional.
(Brass, sorry about the extra required rehearsal, but you understand!)
There are 10 pages of drill left to learn with two extremely important performances
this week (homecoming and exhibition to a packed stadium at our competition this weekend).

Students are not to leave campus as we will be performing in the Cougar Roar (Homecoming Parade).
Students are to either bring a meal from home or purchase a meal from the concessions stand
after the parade is over.
Alumni are welcome to play with the University Band during the Homecoming Game.
Alumni are to purchase the game ticket at the gate and may only perform with the University Band
if they have their instrument and an old band shirt.
We will NOT be providing alumni shirts, however alumni shirts may or may not be available
for $10 depending on availability.
If shirts become available, they will be available for purchase in the stands before the game.

All students in the University High School Band are required to sign up for a
shift or provide someone (family member, friend, neighbor, etc) to work at least one shift.
If you are interested in volunteering at the University Classic,
please e-mail cdehaas@bellsouth.net to get signed up!
All volunteers should report to the volunteer table in the stadium upon arrival for assignment.
The following shifts are available – students may sign up in the main band room:

UNIVERSITY CLASSIC INVITATIONAL PARENT MEETING at 7PM on WED (10/22)
All parents interested in helping, all committee chairs,
and all adult volunteers that wish to help out as Ambassadors (band guides) are
required to attend this important meeting.
This is an extremely important meeting!
Please make the time to attend!
ENJOY THE CITY FUNDRAISER ENDS ON TUESDAY (10/21)
All students should turn in any money or unused books on Tuesday, October 21.
Students that fail to turn in books or money will be written up as a school obligation.
Books must be returned in excellent condition or will not be taken back.
FINAL MARCHING BAND DEPOSIT DUE THURSDAY (10/23)
The final $100 is due on Thursday.
Students can bank up fundraising profits to clear this assessment as well as turn in a personal check.
Thank you so much for keeping up with the assessment schedule.
