University Band Update: 1/5 - 1/11

SIGN UP FOR THE DISNEY MARATHON (1/10-1/11)
We need 2 pep bands to perform at the Disney Marathon this weekend:
PEP BAND 1 (SAT 1/10): Call Time will be at 3:30am on Saturday, Jan 10. Students should be back at UHS approximately 10:30am. Students will receive 2 Disney Tickets.
PEP BAND 2 (SUN 1/11): Call Time will be at 3:45am on Sunday, Jan 11. Students should be back at UHS approximately 1:30pm. Students will receive 4 Disney tickets and a bag lunch.
Sign-Ups will be available on Monday 6th Period (1/5) and will consist of two 50-piece balanced ensembles. Sign ups will be on the MAIN CAMPUS beginning 6th Period on Monday. Dress is TBA.

BAND PARENT MEETING MONDAY, JANUARY 12 -- 7PM
We will have a general band parent meeting on Monday, January 12th at 7pm in the main campus band room. All parents and students are encouraged to attend. Please put this on your calendar as we don't have general meetings every month.

ALL-STATE BAND KUDOS
Please congratulate Matthew Castner as he will be representing University High School at the annual Florida Music Educator's Association in the All-State Concert Band. This is one of the highest honors a band student can have in Florida. Congratulations!

ALL-COUNTY BAND SHIRTS
If you made the all-county band, you need to deposit $10 towards All-County Band shirts. This is the second year all county members have to purchase shirts for the festival. Please come see Mr. Obado if you need assistance.
