Dear Cougar Family,

This week is an exciting week. It is the week of our first competition as well as Senior Night at our football game! First let me go through several other announcements first:

1. This week's Football game is home vs. Freedom HS. This is also our Senior Night. Report time for the Game is 5:30pm for Band Members, 6:00 for Senior Parents. At 6:15 we will march down to the stadium and we will begin our Festivities at 6:30pm at Cougar Stadium. Pictures will be taken, please dress nice.

2. Reminder: we have rehearsal this week Tuesday 5:00pm-8:00pm, Sectionals: Woodwind & Percussion 4:00pm-6:00pm, Thursday 5:00pm-8:00pm.

3. We are doing the Cheesecake fundraiser RIGHT NOW! If you have not picked up forms for them they are next to the band office door. All Cheese Cake orders are due by this Saturday, October 3rd. We are expecting delivery on Wednesday October 14th after band rehearsal for you to take home and drop off to your customers.

4. Major Schedule Change for October 20th & 21st. Due to a change in the Chorus Concert Date we will NOW have our normal Band Rehearsal on Tuesday October 20th 5:00pm-8:00pm, Wednesday October 21st will be a percussion sectional 4:00pm-6:00pm.

5. Wednesday October 21st from 5:30pm-8:00pm will be the band picture viewing in the Band Room. This will be your chance to come see the band pictures that you took and purchase them if you like. Students, please remember that you will need a parent present to be able to purchase any pictures.

6. This Saturday, October 3rd is our first Band Competition of the year. It is at Timber Creek HS. The Itinerary is as follows: Timber Creek Marching Arts Show Itinerary

   5:15pm -- Unload the Truck
   6:20pm -- Lined Up and Set, Ready to go to warm-up
   6:35pm -- Visual Warm-up
   7:20pm -- Move
   7:40pm -- Music Warm-up
   8:25pm -- Move to holding area
   8:45pm -- PERFORMANCE
   9:00pm -- Load Truck
   9:45pm -- Timber Creek HS Exhibition Performance
   10:00pm -- UCF Exhibition Performance
   10:30pm -- Retreat/Awards
   11:15pm -- Load Bus & Depart
   11:45pm -- Arrive UHS & Unload Truck
   12:15am -- Dismissed
   

   You will need to make sure to bring your black socks and black marching band shoes with you at the 3:45pm report time. Also bring money for the concession stand at Timber Creek. There will be a small window of opportunity after we load the truck after our performance to be able to get something to eat before the retreat begins. Please remember that uniform food rules will apply. No condiments, No Cheese, No Nachos, No Pizza, Only Clear Liquids.

   During the break between 12:30pm and 3:45pm , if you are unable to go home, you may stay here at the band room. The gym shower facilities will be opened from 2:30pm-3:30pm. You will still be responsible for supplying your own lunch. Please remember to bring your own shower supplies with you.
