University High School Principal Thomas Ott arranged for a special ceremony to honor the marching band's achievements this year. He gave each student a certificate of recognition and offered remarks about the importance of their accomplishments as a testament to the students' hard work and dedication.
Congratulations to Julian Bethea, Thomas Borges, Ariannah Browder, Ewan Cervantes, Pia Chiu, Megan Gessner, Emily Levin, Abby Levin, Nicholas Lugo, Isabella Rodriguez, Kevin Rosales, Roldan Torres, Emily Tran, Ella Votapka, and Helen Vu for auditioning into the 2025-2026 OCPS All County Band!
After an emotionally charged finals performance, the University Band was named the Class 5A Champion at the 2025 FFCC State Championships. It was a dramatic come-from-behind win for our show "Air," which placed third overall with a school-record score of 93.450.
The UHS Band is open to any student at University High School, and through our Performing Arts Magnet or International Baccalaureate Program, any student in Orange County.
